RE: I Put Ailrons on my Slow Stick
Here's what I did with mine. 1.)I removed the dihedral by simply bending the aluminum tubes for the fiber LE and TE rods to make them straight. 2.) Filled the gap in the middle of the wing with piece of coroplast and epoxy filleted the sides. Makes a very strong wing. 3.) Cut out stock ailerons and hinged with packing tape. 4.) Installed two servos for ailerons using servo tape on underside of wing. 5.) Trimmed outer edge of wing to first "spar" making wing tips straight. 6.) Installed Himaxx 2015/4100 with 10 x 4.7 prop using Thunder Tiger 3 cell lipos. This plane was almost ready to be trashed when I decided to overhaul it just for one last go round. Now, it's my favorite to plane to fly because I can walk out to the end of my driveway and fly and land in front of my house. No driving to the park. Perfect for a quick flying fix. I may do something like you've done to it and build ailerons that extend from the fuselage to the wing tips. This plane handles way better than stock with very mild aerobatic qualities now, with more direct contact to prop wash by using full wing ailerons, this baby will be a lot of fun.
