A "Hot Charge" (in the words of one of my employees who is a R/C car racer) is to charge your battery at a higher Amp setting than is probably recommended. I am not a battery expert, but Seeing is believing. He recommended that I use his Car Battery Charger and use the High Amp (4Amp) charging setting. He said I would get much better performance and duration from the stock battery pack. The normal charger setting for most Ni Cad's I think is 2 Amps. I do not know how it works, but it does.
