You will need to use the laser cut insert unless you have an awfully big servo. This is the way they have you install the ailerons using the anodized aluminum horns. They are wood screwed into a hard point. I also hardened the holes with CA and epoxied the base to the aileron. This is not the way I usually do this but Chip says it works fine.
