I agree that performance will be marginal with the 25. The sturdy birdie II really is a 40 size plane. Anytime it is colder than 55' you might have difficulty starting it. Heat the engine somehow and it will start. Keeping the fuel warm helps alot. Methanol doesn't vaporize below 55'.
