Default RE: sturdy bird 2

My experience comes from flying a duraplane with the fp25. Our field was surrounded by trees and i actually had to fly around inside the trees to get enough altitude to fly out. Takeoffs were slow unless the grass was very short. If the grass was very long it was difficult to get off the ground at all. Once at altitude it was pretty fun to fly. I found that removing the landing gear and replacing the factory drainpipe fuselage with a lighter one really helped the performance. Then i put on a 40fp and that made all the difference.
