I ALMOST did the same thing one time. Luckily when I did my quick flight check ( Up, Down, Left, Right) that I always do just prior to throttle up, I noticed one side of the wings had a small gap between it and the fuselage. Sure enough, I had remembered to correctly plug in the left and right ailerons, but had neglected to attach the rubber band.
