Great job! What kind of engine do you have on what size plane? I just finnished putting floats on my Hobbico trainer, which has an O.S. 40 LA, and I don't know if it has enough power. Just trying to make a comparison. Thanks and great work!
well all I can say is this, on land the mds .40 now that I"ve got it running right will haul this plane around no prob with a 10x6 prop..

With the aircore floats on it that are a good bit heavy.... Well it flies it, you definately have to fly the wing, at full throttle it still wasn't quick at all, couldn't fly it around at no less than 5/8 throttle or else it would just slowly sink....
What I would reccomend is take a prop that is 1 inch larger in diameter and 1 degree less in pitch with you to when you fly it off water and if you see it need a little more "oomph" to get it up and around, switch the prop over.....
If I ever fly this plane off water again, and I know I will, I'm gonna switch to an 11x5 prop.
