-= Hinge Preference =-
I use the Dubro or klett pin hinges but I replace the pin with 1 long music wire pin running through all of the hinges. yes it is harder to get them all lined up but when done properly it provides a nice non binding hinge line. I would not use ca hinges on any thing using a gas engine when you have a control surface that has some bind in it causing tension on the hinges, with the vibration of a gas motor it will tear up the ca hinges. As for robart hinge points they are ok but you can still end up getting the hinges off line and I have seen that when this is done the control surface will make a popping noise from the hinge point that is out of line bending. personal preference. I would use the pin hinges it also leaves the control surface where it can be easily removed if repairs are needed to be done, which does and will happen. just my 1 cent worth of info.
Thanks Steve
