Hi all, i've got a Simple 400 and knife edge is impossible for me. The rudder hinge is at an angle to the thrust line, swept back. All the rudder is above the elevator. I'm thinking of a few mods.

1- Split the elevator and have the rudder run to the bottom of the fuse.

2- Replace the rudder and fin so I can acheive the verticle rudder hinge line.

3- The fin and rudder will be moved back about an inch.

Will this make the rudder more effective/ predictable?
