Racopullco, thanks for the notes. Yes the recommended CG does look very aft compared to other planes I've flown. The new flaps and ailerons I'm building to replace the stock units are much wider and will add more than an inch to the wing cord, so I think the factory recommended location should work just fine for me.
I very often go way overboard with modifications to ARFs, and this one is no exception. But I do try to stick to the the CG location as stated in the manual, at least for the initial flights. It kinda puts some comfort level back into the plane after all the hacks I've done to it.
