Default Metal clevis on throttle cable bad?

That doesn't matter... it's not vibration at the servo arm that's the issue
(It's not any sort of electrical link from servo to engine that causes the problem,
it's the loose metal-to-metal junction vibrating at an interfering frequency)

I've seen people do this and get away with it... but whenever I've tried it,
I've gotten glitches on the range check, with engine running at 1/2 throttle or above.

I suppose on an engine with a painted or anodized throttle arm, or an exceedingly
"tight" clevis connection (little vibration), you could get away with it... for awhile.

But why take a chance, when it's a proven fact that it *can* cause a problem?
