Default Metal clevis on throttle cable bad?

In years past when metal wheel hubs were common and poorly fitting bolts tended to be used for axles could and did generate enough stray RF to ruin your day.

The only safe method if the throttle arm is metal is a plastic clevis. An aternative could be a ball joint connector that is solidly bolted to the throttle arm with a plastic ball cup. Additionally never use an 'S' bend on a metal throttle arm unless of course the arm is plastic.

As Mr. Watkins elaborated on it is not an electrical path to your system that is the problem. The real problem is simply two pieces of metal banging aginst each other at a rate sufficient to create RF noise close enough to your rx/ant to pick up and become confused.
