Default Metal clevis on throttle cable bad?

Dubro is in the business to sell model hardware... just something to keep in mind

As I said earlier, I've known a few people who've gotten away with this connection method.

I would go further, to say that using a nice piece of fuel tubing over the clevis will
probably give the "tightness", and vibration damping, needed to get away with it.
I suspect one could expect similar results from coating the outside of the clevis
with silicone gasket material (RTV), because it would inhibit the vibrations a lot.

Nobody is saying that it can't be done your way.
I'm just letting you know that it can, and HAS, caused RF interference problems.
It may only happen at certain times... with a slightly out of balance prop, for instance.
The fact is... it *does* happen, and to me, that's reason enough not to do it.

You hear it all the time... "oh man, I'm hit!" "Hmmm it's ok now"...
You hear the same people saying these things... and they fly on the same channels
as other people who never get "hit", but will *swear* on a stack of bibles that
they got some outside interference from somewhere, even when you point out things
that could cause "hits". (shortened antenna, metal throttle links, etc...)

In the end, we makes our own decisions, and we takes our chances
