I think a shorter fues gives you a more responsive elevator. Just going from observation here. I fly an 80 inch wing span Edge 540 and a 62 inch wing span Ultimate bipe. Both planes weigh 15 lbs and have the same motor, Moki 180. The Ultimate is faster on the loop. This is not very scientific but all the bipes I have flown have had a more responsive elevator.
