How the car handles all depends on how you set it up. Honestly, all the buggies you listed have the potential to perform just as well as the next if you know how to set it up. Camber/castor/toe/shock positioning/diff & shock oil/ tires/ wing angle etc. will all ultimately decide how your car will behave on the track. He should just pick one, drive it, and become familiar with its characteristics. Once that is learned he can then tune it to fit his driving style. Also, when choosing a buggy, look into parts availability in your local area, nobody wants to wait for weeks to get parts if you break something. [8D]
