Just a thought mate.......... Did you rough the inside of the shell before you sprayed it? I always take the shine off the inside of the shell using 1000 grit emery paper before painting. This gives the paint something to stick to. I also use Tamiya paints and have never had any trouble with it coming off. This is the one I have just painted using the above method......
