That doesn't sound too bad - there is a lot of machining on the trunion. I ordered steering shafts / bearings and a steering arm for my nose gear a while back. The shaft which is simply a hardened pin whith a mushroom head was a dollar or two, the bearing was more but not too bad - 5 bucks of so. The steering arm which has two parts welded together and painted was around $10 or $12.
