It probably won't vary much from a kit, but some parts I will upgrade right off the bat. So pretty much follow the format of a kit. I used to work at a shop that built custum harley's. basically you purchased a harley frame with a harley VIN and added all the other parts of your choice. could be factory or aftermarket. svaes the espense of buying the original part. like say I want a different body, or an upgraded motor. maybe different suspension. stronger chassis. whatever. this way, I don't pay for the original in the kit, I just pay for the upgrade. So yeah, I will have to pick a truck to start with. I like the HPI Savage, Team Associated Monster GT, CEN Fun Factor, and the Losi LST.
