^^Yes its inverted.

^Well i moved it back as far as i could and not only does it look awfuly, but it would look non existant and would act as a piece of fiberglass drag rather than a cowling....Plus i already cut it out to fit the 4.5 inch motor mount (which was done by putting the GP mount that came with the plane on 1" plywood blocks creating a space between the motor mount and firewall).

OK Colin,
Maybe I am not getting this right, but if you already have the engine mounted at 4.5" out, why would spinning the mount 90* change the depth of the cowl. You will probably have an extra hole or two to cut into the cowl and you may need a muffler extension, but it should work. I had my OS46FX mounted at 90* on my 1st UCD3D46.

Well the way I have it cut out right now, fits the engine inverted. I was actuially going to buy a new cowl and side mount the engine but Im still looking for a 4.5 inch motor mount!!! Untill then, ill just have to wait....
