Default RE: PT Gyro and electric engine.

Hi,
My first flight electric had the following setup.."Fitted with a VORTEX 28/30/12 brushless motor.using a 9 x 6 APC gives me 10.8 amps with a Kokam 3s 1500 .
I estimate 120 Watts with the set up so going to try that initially.
A small air scoop fitted to the underside. Weight 24 and 1/4 oz with
battery ready to go." It flew but the battery seemed unable to cope with such a high discharge continuously so fitted...."Next flight fitted 3s2P 2400(pack 18A overload 25A) and things were much better.Extra 2oz in nose so greater hang angle to..and flew better." Estimate 140 watts with this setup. Also have a look at yahoo groups ptgyrosupport full of great info. Good luck Bill
