See the old cox shrike- there's always some pics of them on ebay. The shrike had a roll bar over the prop and the pusher engine was mounted so the prop just missed the ground, so it was as low as it could be. The shrike was a teather car that just buzzed around a nail in the pavement, might be a good way to test your giant .40 car..
