Flying since 1988, there are three things I have found that have GREATLY improved my flying...

Flying fingers and thumbs, instead of thumbs only - much better control, more precise flying.

Using a tray - no worries about holding the transmitter, or dropping it, especially when reaching for D/R, gear, idle down switches.

A good flight simulator
