I went with the close cockpit, I put a pic of it on this thread. I think the open ones look nice but I'd prefer the closed.

I'll have to see how much of a hassle it is with the engine inverted to get the plug on. I had a few that I had to play with when it came time to start and they worked out alright.

We'll see.
