Default DP Extra Durablity

Anyone able to comment on how this plane holds up to gas power? I know its commonly done(powered with 40-50cc gas) but I'm wondering if people are having any problems after a season or two. Seeing how massively built some planes are like AeroTech, Carden and most giant scale ARFs, the DP Extra looks a little light. But dont get me wrong thats EXACTLY what I want...of course I'd like it not to fail catastrophically for lack of my keeping an eye on it. Its easy to go a season and think its bulletrpoof only to find that at some point fatigue kills certain glue joints...
So just looking for long term experiances from (ex)owners..
oh yeah, mine is an curent generation ARC and I'm using a ZDZ40. Also I've removed all the aluminum hardware and bolts and will glass/CF the motor box edges and the gear mount "box" . Triangle stock on bulkhead backside vericals. CF gear, spinner + prop, spar tube(s) and maybe tailgear.
Hoping to trim 16 oz off total by above items and 3-5 oz of wood removed from bottom of rudder and stab, back of canopy frame, aileron mounts, servo mounts, landing gear cover and a few other areas. LiPo batteries...Might use some aluminum fastners too if I'm having trouble getting enough weight off.
Goal is 14 pounds fueled(24oz)...same as my current Texas Hurricane with the ZDZ and NiMh batts and no CF....

For anyone who has gotten this far and NOT seen the DP Extra (and I presume Edge) they look a lot like Radiocraft 35% planes scaled down...but like Cardens the DP is HUGE for its supposed size... most folks say the Extra is 25-26% yet the fuse is larger than the 28% Aero Tech by maybe 4" lenght
