The Edge is to be balanced near the wing root..the Extra Special/Extra are to be balanced at the tips..unless Im reading the manual wrong..
from the manual:
Balance points
Edge 540T,
4 1/2” to 5” behind leading edge
Extra 300LX and Special
2 1/2” to 3” behind leading edge at wing
tip.
Manual states at the TIP.
Where?? It says the Extra's are to be balanced at the tips..the above is copied from the manual
Your right ..but it dont matter on the edge. because it has a straight leading edge. you'll get the same balancing at the tip or the root.
The 300 has a tapered leading edge thats what matters.
