Default RE: front diff help

ORIGINAL: SqueedilySpooch

I have ran into some probs with my front diff..........Thing is it is leaking oil. I lost about 1/3 of what i orginally put into it(and its thick). It cost $20-$30 to get the replacement and i wanna see if i can just fix it without getting a new one. Could it be the washers or where both sides of the diff meet is warped or messed up? how should i go about this. If u need more info feel free to ask.
Since you don't say.... I have NO IDEA what kind of vehicle it is but... when you loaded the diff did you use a new gasket and make sure the opposing surfaces were clean? If your diff has coarse threads, replace the hardware with machine-threaded hardware as well, they will hold up much better and keep the ring/cup tighter.
