$25k is too rich for me, writing the check is do-able, but my nerves could not stand committing that to the air. Spread spectrum or otherwise. I would need ortopedic surgery for my knees knocking together. But that's just me. My hat is off for anybody who HAS those guts, I'm thrilled to see such a model fly.
A lot of people badmouthing this model, but having seen Lucas' fly, let me say...that thing is AWESOME. Just wonderful. Worth all the effort. Probably the MOST impressive big jet I have ever seen, myself. Much more impressive than the YA F18 twin, or the BVM F100 or Phantom. It's just too cool. So keep at it, it's worth it!
Can't blame anybody who spent $10k on a kit for *****ing that it was not all they paid for, but at this point, all you can do is carry on and finish the airplane. That first flight will probably help ameliorate a lot of the bad feelings, it's really an incredible plane.
