Default RE: Fiber Classics Mig 29 RIPOFF

That 29 is the most impressive turbine model ever. I remember flying at Superman (1999 or 2000?) with my first turbine (Kangaroo) in the air at the same time as Wolfgang with the Mig (world champ at the time?).
I remember it too, me and about 5 friends bought the kit at that show. The only other plane that floored me was Tommy Woods' BVM F-4 with a RAM-750 (sure). I bought one of those too, 6 months later....I flew the F-4 for 65 flights before I watched it fly into a tree on a failsafe.......as for the MIG-29, I think only 2 of us still have the kit from Superman, one guy is very close to finishing I think, mine is still in the box waiting for some new radio technology....

As for this 2 receiver/frequency radio thing, there are other products than the ACT and the emcotec, the downside of all is that you need to pull 2 flags when you fly (if you want it to really prevent shootdowns), and you won't win many popularity contests at the events......except on HAM I have not seen anything FCC compliant for sale here in the sates.

The Hitec spread spectrum unit, as it is built in the ad I saw, will not work in aircraft (IMHO). Just like the Horizon unit, it was originally built for aircraft, but sold for cars. We have flown a spread spectrum unit that will work in aircraft, but we really do not have much stomach for making something that the Chinese will copy in a year and a half .......then all of my modeling "brothers" will buy the Chinese copy then just spout off about "free enterprise" and "just too much profit" and the like.....I think I will just keep it for myself!
