Yeh, it should work, however, the stock exhaust is about as good as you are going to get for the stock engine. I would not send $68 on another pipe unless you're an expert racer and have done internal engine work to the ports, cylinder, and piston. Even then the DTX isn't legal for expert level racing. If you want a shiny pipe, take the paint off the stock one and polish it.
