The tires are trac-ta-gators, I use them for bashing cause they last a long time. The front have the same amount of tread on them as the rear. I bought a set of speed paws for racing. I figured that normal track pins would get mutilated. It handles the oval really nice, it resists spinning out and you can swing it at full speed and it will just pull itself straight. I thought it would be funny to put ribs on the rear of it, but after it handled they weren't necessary.
When I ran it I melted a drive hex. Luckily it uses hexes on all corners and the rear doesn't put any stress on it, so I can swap a rim. I have to throw some JB weld it the fronts to help it. The duratrax rims have a shallow hex adapter.
It doesn't accelerate that bad, it's far from accelerating horrible.
