If you already understand this, please do not misunderstand my comment as an insult- many do not know that a two stroke engine will four stroke if run rich enough. Control-line precision aerobatic engines are routinely run in a four stroke, breaking into two stroke under load as when entering a maneuver. This, of course is beside the point of the experiment under discussion.
