Default Keep it simple stupid!!!!!!!!!!!, I'm trying

Hey Fellows

I have a few questions for you, Listen I have a total of 3 DA-100's now, and one of those is mounted on a plane and I have never even started the damn thing yet, and this has been about a year ago, But what I noticed and remembered was I bought this carbon fiber plate about 2 inches x 2 inches and it was to go over the carb I guess, well at that time who ever the person I was or should I say the person who said I should do this which was the one who also sold it to me, I cant remember what its purpose is and what does it do, and last do I really need it? here is a picture of it on my engine, so if you will tell me what the heck is it..

Ok my next question is this, Since I first started taking to the RC Forum a few years ago one of the things I learned right off the bat was the KISS concept and that is Keep it simple stupid, Well of coarse when I got into this hobby I bought ever cool thing you could possible imagine, which I later found out was just taking up weight, and had more a possibility to have a failures, Well this is what I'm wanted to know once and for all, and I just want to know everybody's opinion on this, OK first let me tell you what I normally use on a 33% or 35% 40% planes, I use both fromeco and Duralite don't ask me why cause I have no reason,,, But since I have been messing around with the bigger planes the switches that I really like are the Super Switches by Smart-Fly, they have the 18g wire on the power side and they have two lead wires on the other side of the switch that run into your RX for extra redundancy, So anyway On this 35% that I'm putting together I'm going to use two 4400 fromecos and a 2200 for the ignition, and I'm using the smart-fly regulators so I can adjust how much voltage I want to use,, Now if I'm not mistaken the way you would run this would be two batteries, two regulators, two switches for the RX/plane and for the Ignition a 2200 battery, a regulator, and a switch,,, Now since I'm using a 9C PCM RX and using both leads from the switches, this will take up 4 slots already, Now I also have both the 9C, 9Z and the new 14mz which I cant stand the 9Z but anyway, I also have about 5 JR matchboxes that I have bought over the years, I also have a few of the Smart fly Equalizer 11, But more importantly I have a couple of the batshare's, Now are you still with me??? Hope so,, anyway this is were I'm not sure what I should do? I was explained by Smart-fly how the Batshare works and the way that I use it before awhile back was running both batteries into both ends of the Batshare then on the other side since I'm only using one RX I'm only running one end into the RX therefore only using one regulator, Now all the wire that I have in my planes are 18g extensions I get from RC Accessory, ( there weight is so little it isn't a factor) but anyway how would you run what I just said.. Thanks for reading all this I really do appreciate it

Randy

p.s I really like the batshares but I have never really used them that much to know if I would risk it with my bigger planes, Don't get me wrong Ive tried them just not for some quiet some time.........
