smitty, the early ones had a LOT of problems. I personally had one that almost caught on fire. It melted itself completely apart. I sent it in, had to pay for a replacement, then the replacement screwed up a few weeks later.. I sold the system I got back as my next replacement and didn't look back for about a year. The new ones seem to be much better than the old ones. I now own 2 and I've been very pleased with them so far.
