RE: car/plane
well budget really isnt a problem I guess, to spend around 150 on a engine really isnt out of the question. I work in a welding and repair shop that is actually owned by the guy that was the pilot if this contraption.
I really am to inpatient to be putting it on paper first. I am more the one to cob it up about 20 times till it is right rather than get it all on paper then build it once.
Here are some updated pictrues of the frame. with the os .46 la engine on there I think it was 2 pounds 12 oz . and my arrow trainer that was sitting around weighs one oz less without engine. So, that means that my chassis is lighter than a averige trainer I guess. Of course this is with out the wing and elevator rudder ect, oh ya and a car.
So far in my mind the plan is to build it back up with no rudder control. The pilot (jim) was saying that the rudder really isnt needed under the circumstances.
I was thinking to make the control surfaces bigger with some balsa and glue, hopeing that it will be able to turn better. do you think it will all work better than trail one?
so what is the biggest engine I can get for around 100 with out getting a pice of crap. Me and jim where thinking around a .60 size engine would barley fly this and from there bigger would make it more and more flyable.
Here are some more pice of my chassis. the thing is suprisingly strong, I can give it a good twist and it really doesent bend to much and goes back to shape good,
My over all goal for this project is to make it look as much like a car as possible with a wing on top, and have it hit a jump and fly over a building and land safley.
