thanks for the advice, I was talking about a fixed rudder earler I just dident know what to call it. I do want to fly too, dont want to set my goals to high I guess, it really is a lot difrent seeing it in person, this thing really droped like a rock.

do you think the avastar wing will handle this weight, or should I beef it up inside with some wood or somthin.

the metal chassis really isnt all that heavy, it is made out of 1/8 th inch thick steel that I found in a one of thoes signs for selectman that where everywhere. and some of it is just filler rod for gas welding. like I said it is 2 pounds 12 oz with the engine and a estimated 5 I think for the car that is roughly 8 pounds give or take. geeze that is a lot. I dont really have a plane to be experementing with and adding weight to and stuff.

who knows with that big engine it may fly mint.
