Great tip with the felt, I too have the same friction marks on the side of the fuse and have been wondering how to deal with it. Seems you've found a simple fix that fits the bill [8D].
Having now flown a few snap rolls with the Impact, I have noticed that the elevator is VERY powerful during this manouver, how much elevator movement are you using for this?

Any help would be appreciated.
