Default Ryobi 31cc in Fleet 1/4 Biplane?

Hey Guys,

I acquired a Concept Models Quarter scale "Fleet Biplane" from a friend that is built, but needs wing re-conditioning (missing a few ribs, needs covering), the fuselage is complete and covered, and I was considering putting my newly rebuilt Ryobi 720 31cc weedwacker engine on it....I already have the wackerengines prop shaft, exhaust, and 3 inch mount, and looks like it will fit dimensionally, but don't know if it's powerful enough to pull her.....What do you guy's think? I may replace the wings, as they have been stored in an attic uncovered for several years, and all the wood is very brittle, so I don't have alot of money to put into a Saito or Quadra that the kit calls for. The finished model is supposed to weigh about 12 pounds....
Thanks for your input.........B717doc
