Hmmmmm........Something does not sound right. I say that cheech because I have a 180 mounted in a Dynaflite Chipmunk and the engine is fully enclosed in the cowl and I have had no problem with overheating whatsoever.
I had opened up the bottom quite a bit. I will open it more before I add baffle work/weight or cutout any more cowl up top. Something *may* be slightly wrong with the engine.
Also, I gotta try new fuel. I realize today that this is last years fuel I am running. It certainly isn't old, because we go through a ton of fuel. But new would be better.
I will try a handful of the suggestions. Thanks!
