String trimmer engines are really not suitable for those kinds of planes. They don't have the power to weight ratio that chainsaw engines have. For a Cap or Extra you really need to be up around a 38cc or better to really do them any justice. It would be great for a 1/4 scale Decathlon or a clipped wing cub.
