JZer.
Tell them the rest Jimmy!! We bashed the plane over the winter, tried to do everything we could to keep it under or just at 16 pounds. With the help of Gene @ Troybuilt, it finished out at 15lbs 12oz. Thats with 1-1/2" cut off of the nose, carbon fiber landing gear, wing tube and Li-ions for power, duals that is. So we could have saved a little more if we had used a stock DA muffler instead of the pitts and another ounce or two if we chose not to run redundant batteries. But Jim had a great day flying and it looked really light flying in some decent wind. Now that he pretty much has it trimmed out its about time to wring it out. Next time we need to take more than one gallon of fuel with us, used it all up on trim flights and check and double checks.

Angus,
That sounds a little rich alright, we were getting about 15 minutes out of the DA on a 20 ounce tank, with a few to spare for aborted landings. What prop are you running and what RPM does it show?

Overall its a great flying plane, Jim will have to give you a real report when he gets it back out next weekend.
