Default RE: Seagull Extra ARF ???????

Jim,

I actually had that plane for about six flights until I planted it into a treeptop. The only real thing I did to it was replace the control rods they give you. Mine were soft and about 12 bucks later I had all new ones. I also replaced the tailwheel with a Sullivan, but that's pretty standard for me.

I flew mine with an OS91-FS turning a 12X10 APC prop and it did alright. I was actually landing to replace the prop with a 13X8 when it met it's demise.

I feel the engine was enough for it. Not alot of vertical but flew well for the limited time I had it but again that was with a high pitch prop. With the 13X8 prop ground clearance was gonna be alittle tight.

All in all is was a pretty good plane, it seemed fairly precise and tracked well and the price was right.

I'd like to be able to tell you more but I am sure someone will chime in here. I also beleive there is a thread here on RCU that pretty much describes the plane.
