The two RTR's above are really very entry level and, ok to chase your neighbor's dog or cat with, but not race worthy.
I'm surprised to hear you say that. I have just ordered a PBS RTR (I am entry level when it comes to 1/8th buggies, but an experienced on-road racer), and I will start my 1/8th off-road racing career with this buggy. I have a reasonable budget on a monthly basis to inject into the buggy, and was wondering if you could recommend a series of hop-ups (not including the engine, servos or radio) to make the car more raceworthy? Anything you can recommend would be most helpful. Is the rolling chassis of the RTR Hypers really that bad? [
