If you're getting a plastic shell 'donated' from a crap r/c like the one pictured you'll need a variety of sandpaper wet/dry and primer to prepare the plastic for paint. I would dedicate the finished work to my shelf before I braved it out in a parking lot, the plastic is made pretty cheap.

My suggestion for color is Nissan's signature color: blue.
