Default RE: Opinion on a "Something Extra by SIG

have to agree with some of the above statements on the SSE's limitations.
I've just done mine and it really is a funfly rather than a precision aerobat.

Build light and landing is a breeze, too easy, even dead stick.

I'd also seriously consider a 4 star or better yet, a BTE V60 as a very capable first aerobat.

The SSE is good for rocking out and I'm guessing it's not a bad hoverer either (with a rudder counter balance mod) - but it just doesn't have the grace or precision for any well tailored aerobatics

Think of the SSE as a little like Elvis - very entertaining, guaranteed to put a smile on your face, likes to go wild, but ultimately a little vulgar and can never be taken too seriously.

I would't go CAP as a first aerobat either, too demanding and won't be so enjoyable - it's more of a serious discipline machine, unforgiving and never very relaxing. You may ultimately find that you need a cap to express yourself (or to compete), but that probably won't be for a good while yet

hope this helps
