Thanks Red & Connery, I've been really psyched about this project. Right now I'm just waiting on the covering from Tower to get finished and hopefully fly this thing soon. If all goes well, the next one will be glassed and I'd like to try the tapered wing kit I saw in the marketplace. Oh... I did buy a 1500 mah receiver battery for those servos and Red, if you decide to do one as well, I've got a ton of pictures I took of pretty much every step I took in building it. The tricky part was making everything accessible in the nacelles.

Gotta put my $0.02 in here. I don't think anyone goes out and buys a SSE thinking they're going to do perfect aerobatics, fly a pylon race or learn to fly with it. The simple reason I keep building them and from what I've heard from a bunch of other people is that for $55.00 (a good Tower coupon) you get a really high quality plane that is truly fun to build and fly.

This was my first attempt at modifying one back in 1998. I blew the plans up 125% and put a ST3000 on it. The wing tube was a shower curtain rod with a broom handle as the support rod. I didn't have the outline of all the ribs (since I already built the kit) so there is not taper in the wings. It turned out gorgeous and I flew it for 2 summers.
