I GET IT!

Everybody talks about things like CG and thrust ratios, but I've never heard of Center of Pressure before. The sports car and weather vane analogies helped.

I was thinking of this force as the thrust factor, but it's not that at all. It's the point where all the forces ACTING UPON the airplane trying t o move it in yaw and pitch are centered (roll would be an entire lateral axis nose to tail, right?). Of course you'd want that behind the CG.
