Sounds like a good idea, even if it is in Scotland [X(] (have not been back to Scotland for a long time, would like to pay a visit)

I agree that it is probably a bit too late to get going for this year seeing as you want to do schedules and so on.

I think you would struggle on the no changing plane rule, as things happen and break down, which is why you often have spares. Perhaps including in the schedules a manouver that can only really be done by a freestyle plane would do better.

But I am interested (though wont promise anything )
