IBrakeForNobody- get to a carpet store and see if you can get a cheap(free) "remnant" piece of carpet. Put it down on the floor in the builing area whenever you build. Your mother will thank you instead of kill you. Second choice is to watch for a carpet installation going in and ask the installers for a scrap of either the old or new carpet.
