Default Evo 46 drive washer & spinner problem

I have been flying my Twist with an Evolution 46 for a while and both do just fine. I thought I would install a spinner (2 1/4) as noted in the manual. I like to try different setups. When fitting the spinner back plate the flywheel portion of the engine drive washer touches the nut portion of the back plate. Therefore keeping the spline portion of the engine drive washer from mating with the spinner back plate spline. It fits loose.
This does not look right and should be corrected.
Solution seems to be removing the flywheel portion.
1. Has anybody run the Evo 46 without the flywheel? Any difference? Concerns?
2. If ok to remove the flywheel -- what is best method to remove the flywheel?
A. Just knock it off the drive washer? If so which way to knock it out?
B. Is heat required to remove the flywheel?
C. Other methods, solutions?

Thanks,
