Exactly.

In the ads, they specifically mean the plane is harder to "ding", and the finish is scratch resistant. Balsa dents easily, while many composites won't deform if you bump a doorframe when walking through the house.

I've yet to see an airplane that would survive an encounter with a 2yr old, or a loose toolbox in the back of a van, though both of those would probibly be considered hanger rash in an extreme form.
